    The Experience

This experience will be far more than a trip to Costa Rica or a simple retreat—it is intended to be a lifechanging event. From the moment you arrive, the journey shifts from ordinary travel into a deep, purposeful transformation. Guided practices, thoughtfully curated local immersion, and intentional downtime are woven together to open pathways to renewed clarity, resilient wellbeing, and meaningful personal growth.

The setting amplifies the work. Costa Rica’s biodiverse landscapes and restorative climate provide an ideal backdrop for recalibration: the rhythms of the jungle, the sound of ocean waves, and the freshness of mountain air encourage nervous system regulation and deeper presence. Local cultural experiences and responsible community engagement enrich perspective, reminding you that transformation includes connection—to nature, to other people, and to a sense of belonging beyond everyday routines.

Expect measurable shifts: improved stress resilience, clearer priorities, renewed creative energy, and stronger relationships—with yourself and others. Many participants describe the experience as a turning point: a moment when complacency gave way to intention, when small daily choices began to align with deeper values. The work we do together is meant to catalyze that shift, not merely provide a temporary feeling of wellbeing.

    Tiskita Lodge, Pavones

Located in Punta Banco, near Pavones on Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast, you’ll meet Tiskita, a beautiful and secluded retreat venue set in the heart of the mountains with incredible oceans views.

This a family-owned, Costa Rican sanctuary where nature, simplicity, and genuine hospitality have been lovingly preserved for many years, will lovingly host you for an entire week.

Beyond its extraordinary beauty, staying here offers a rare chance to experience the authentic spirit of Costa Rica—its warmth, traditions, and slower rhythm of life—creating a deeper connection not only with the land, but with the people and culture that make this place so special.

    About Pavones

Pavones, is widely regarded as one of the world’s most famous surfing beaches. Its global reputation comes from a rare and consistent left-hand point break that can produce some of the longest, most rideable waves on the planet. When conditions align—typically during the rainy season from May through November—surfers can lock into long, powerful walls that peel around the point for hundreds of meters, offering long, smooth rides ideal for high-speed carves and rail work.

    The Yoga Classes & Meditations:

The morning meditation sessions will be guided with simple pranayama (breath work) tools and some sound healing support.

The morning yoga sessions will be dedicated to alignment, sequencing, creating strength and mobility within healthy boundaries.

The therapeutic sessions will be intended for full body, mind and heart relaxation through yin and restorative yoga, along with sound healing and basic calming massage techniques.

The main goal for these practices will be to guide the participant to move and open space in the body, to be able to relax and ground.

    The Inner Journey

Carmela encourages inner work as much as any other practice during her retreats. Her psychology background enhances the possibility of working the heart path and opening support spaces for the participants to willingly address emotional weights. This work is done with extreme care and responsibility for everyone to feel safe.

Also Carmela has chosen the loving and powerful essence of Cacao, Hapé and Sananga as medicines plants to be carefuly offered and honored during her retreats.

The shamanic sessions remind us that everything is interconnected and that the closeness to the natural world could provide answers and wonderful findings regarding our deepest emotional inquiries.

The teacher creates a safe and sacred space for all these magnificent teachings to do their work, providing integration and support.
